Presentation Themes & Types

The Christa McAuliffe Transforming, Teaching, & Technology Conference (CMTC) is the ONLY ed tech professional learning event that convenes New Hampshire educators from across the spectrum of roles and responsibilities to envision the future of our schools. This diversity presents a unique opportunity for multiple perspectives to participate in engaging dialog and enhanced problem-solving. We seek proposals within the conference themes that hold the potential to educate and spur dialog across multiple audiences.

Themes

Innovative Learning

  • Exploring effective “how to” classroom strategies
  • Investigating emerging digital learning resources Sharing your experiences and expertise with multiple audiences
  • Designing and supporting technology ecosystems in schools and classrooms

Types

Exploratory (concurrent) Session (50-minute)

Exploratory (concurrent) sessions are 50 minutes long and will be scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday during three time blocks, two before and one following the keynote luncheon. You are encouraged to submit a proposal for an interactive demonstration or panel discussion that promotes the conference themes.

Interactive Hands-on Workshops (60-minute, 75-minute, or 90-minute)

Interactive Hands-on Workshops (60-, 75, or 90-minute), are offered on Wednesday and Thursday morning and afternoon. All of these workshops are offered in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) format ~ participants bring their own device per the workshop description. Workshop topics are generally platform neutral, web-based, and/or device specific.

Networking Central Showcases (30-minute)

The four Networking Central Showcases happen for 30 minutes on Wednesday and Thursday, right before and after lunch. Located in the Ash- worth Court, there will be at least 6 stations available to showcase your idea ~ we are looking for teams of up to 6 to man these stations. These teams may include a mix of students and teachers. Topics might include: Google Tips, Tools, & Tricks; How to Make the Most of Your Phone Apps; Virtual/ Augmented Reality; Generative AI for YOU!; STEM/STEAM ~ send us your Showcase idea. Each of the 6 station presenters pays only $60 pp for full conference registration on the day of the showcase.
