Monday Luncheon Keynote: 1:00-2:00pm

Think Like a Scientist: Learning from Real World Experience

In this engaging talk, meteorologist Cyrena Arnold explores how the mindset of a scientist—curious, analytical, and unafraid of uncertainty—can transform how we learn and grow in our careers and lives. Drawing from her journey in meteorology, from fieldwork with NASA contractors to Mt. Washington, Cyrena illustrates how real-world experience and internships bridge the gap between classroom theory and true understanding. Through stories of discovery, adaptation, and hands-on learning, she reveals that the most valuable lessons often come from observation, experimentation, and perseverance outside the textbook. Audiences leave inspired to approach challenges with curiosity, embrace opportunities for practical experience, and think a little more like scientists in everything they do.

New for CMTC25, hear about our Student SuperStars prior to the keynote panel!

This amazing group of students from Nashua South High School created a national nonprofit to help seniors learn technology. Aadi Kulkarni, 17, is one of 25 students across the U.S. to be named a winner of the 2025 Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes. Aadi was recognized as founder of TechPals and with him today are teammates Ameya Kharade, Vice President & Co-founder and Yuvan Balagurumurthy, Chief Growth Officer. TechPals organizes youth volunteers who teach digital skills to seniors at libraries, retirement homes, and senior centers. Kulkarni’s group has helped more than 5,000 seniors learn to text, use FaceTime, and recognize scams, among other digital skills.

TechPals is now a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit with more than 500 volunteers with nine chapters in seven states. The organization has raised more than $15,000 in grants and donations and hosted 75-plus workshops.
