Curiosity Shop: Redefining "Classroom" Elizabeth Juster, English Teacher, Londonderry High School

In a competency-based education, learners have the opportunity to explore, discover and create in an environment that is both individualized and collaborative. Sounds great but how does it work? How do teachers embrace and support multiple modes of learning- lecture, workshop, small group, and individual? Part of the answer lies in a classroom's physical design and part of the answer lies in a classroom's digital resources. Participants have the opportunity to: discover how to create an agile classroom, learn how an agile classroom environment supports learning and nurtures a growth mindset, explore how digital resources support multiple modes of learning, and review and discuss student responses to the agile classroom and the integration of digital resources.
