Getting Started with the iPad: Learn about setting up your iPad, apps, the App Store, tips, and tricks. Explore apps that come standard with the iPad. Review the differences between iPads 1, 2, and 3. Discover how to use iCloud and manage your apps - participants should bring their personal laptop to sync to iTunes as needed. Learn cool tips and tricks for everyday use, how to work with the settings to further customize the iPad, and about time-saving shortcuts. Going Further with the iPad: Experience some great apps for filesharing, increasing productivity, and collaborative digital classroom projects during the afternoon. Time is provided for exploration and experimentation with apps and online resources to use on the iPad for both personal and classroom use in a supportive environment. Presenters, Jennifer Lowton and Jennifer Middaugh have conducted training sessions with numerous teachers across southern NH teaching about tips, tricks and best practices for classroom integration. Jennifer Lowton also works with ESL students and has had success using the iPads/iPods to meet the unique needs of learners in the classroom. Both presenters bring experience and tips on successfully integrating these devices into the classroom for learning enhancement. The registration fee for this workshop includes the cost of the workshop AND the device. The specific iPad model selected will be posted in October on the conference website at www.nhcmtc.org.
