I have been involved with the development and management of 1:1 programs since the launch of a 1:1 program Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH in 1993 and later a decade at the helm of the Maine Learning Technology Initiative, and the lead consultant and author of the State of Utah's digital learning plan that is the underpinnings of on-going legislative funding for 1:1 in all Utah public schools supporting over 600,000 students. Participants will learn about the essential elements of a successful, sustainable 1:1 program including change management, program design, public engagement, funding, technical support and break fix, and procurement. W2-02 2023 Session	Twenty-four for '24:Inspiring & Promising Trends, Technologies, & Tools Maureen Yoder, Professor, Lesley University
*  Level: All levels Grades: All	This will be a fast-paced session that will highlight twenty-four timely trends, innovative technologies, and useful tools. Artificial intelligence, including ChatGPT, will be explained, and strategies for addressing the challenges and benefits of teaching with them will be included. You will see free tools you can master quickly, an update on virtual and augmented reality apps, the largest collections of free authentic artifacts, outstanding video and audio archives, and inexpensive little drones and robots. Hear about technologies and innovative ideas that do not yet exist at the time this session was proposed. The term "Electronic Constructivism" was coined by this presenter who will link these technologies to what it is all about: Good Teaching. No experience necessary - just your curiosity and your enthusiasm about teaching. The agenda is packed, but you'll receive links to all resources to explore later. The session ends with a raffle for techy door prizes.

Level: Knowledge of CBE is preferred Grades: All  Extensions	In this session, Inter-Lakes School District will share our eight-year journey of implementing Competency-Based Education practices. Specifically, we will highlight the development of core philosophies and beliefs about instruction and assessment practices and review how those beliefs impacted grading and grade reporting practices. We will then share how these practices were integrated into our student information system (SIS). Participants will be encouraged to provide feedback, ask questions, and will leave with a self-assessment tool to bring back to their own districts and schools.

Level: Beginner or Intermediate Grades: All	In this session, participants will learn about technology tools that make their role as a non-classroom educator more efficient and fun. From looking at student data, to creating presentations and newsletters, to training school staff on a new topic, there are many ways to incorporate simple technology tools as a non-classroom educator. Google Keep, Canva, game-based learning, translation apps, and other tools can make our work as non-classroom educators more efficient and creative, and more engaging for others. Session participants will hear from a school counselor and school social worker about how they use technology to support: making appointments for students, translating documents into multiple languages, improving large-group presentation materials, tracking attendance data, keeping a busy day organized, and creating more student-centered systems. This session will provide ideas and examples from the presenters' professional experiences, and encourage input from others who have ideas to share.
